Greeting
Do you like to greet people?
I do.
Well, of course, I don't, when the other person treats me as if I were invisible.
Usually, I'd definitely greet people I know when I encounter them while walking around. Greeting people (and they greet back) makes me feel warm inside. Don't you like being greeted? I don't think there's anyone out there who hates this.
Today in campus, I was busy thinking about something while reading my notes and walking, on my way to somewhere else. Then a friend of mine tapped my shoulder. I turned, and she said "hi" with a smile. I "hi"-ed back and smiled. Very quick. The whole thing didn't even last 2 seconds, but it worked wonders.
Then another encounter with another friend of mine. Then another. And another. (I don't know why there were that many today.)
You know, people greet you means they care to notice you. They bother to actually see you and not make you feel invisible. In a sense, they don't take your presence for granted. They recognize your presence through that simple, small, quick, but effective interaction.
How sweet. Being greeted by others might just be the thing that brightens our day!
Isn't greeting people such a good thing?

btw, many people greeting you probably means you're a popular guy!
The question at the end is rhetorical.
Well, I mentioned that it was only "today". Not all the time it's like this.
